Endacopia Ending C: The Cheshire Password and Stay Route
Updated 2026-09-08 · Last verified 2026-09-08 · Steam Endacopia
Ending C in Endacopia is the secret ending, and it unlocks the hidden Steam achievement Stay. The route runs on one password: you feed two quarters to the Wall Bank, it gives you the word cheshire, and you type that in for the Toilet after summoning it with the plunger. You also have to complete hidden content in all three main regions, and the ending itself plays out in the Surgeon's cave, where you sit down and ask him questions.
Spoiler notice. This page names the endings, the characters involved and the nature of Andyland. There is no spoiler-free version of it.
Content warning. Steam's own descriptor for Endacopia reads: "This game contains scenes of body horror, psychological horror, distressing imagery, blood, violence, death, drugs, and jump-scares." The Surgeon material sits squarely in the body horror category.
Ending C at a glance
| Field | Value | Source confidence |
|---|---|---|
| Achievement | Stay (hidden on Steam) | Steam API plus official Fandom decode, two sources |
| Achievement description | Blank on Steam; Fandom decodes it as "Reached Ending C" | Confirmed |
| Community alias | "Family." (the full stop completes "Family!" and "Family?") | Used by three community sites and guides, absent from the official Fandom wiki |
| Global unlock rate | 14.3% as of 8 September 2026 | Steam global stats, live figure |
| Key item chain | The Cheese, then Two Quarters, then the Wall Bank, then the plunger | Two Fandom pages agree with each other |
| Password | cheshire | Four sources |
| Final scene | The Surgeon's cave, reached through Mellow's Room | Fandom Endings page plus the Clockey infobox |
The unlock rates line up in exactly the order you would expect: Escape (Ending A) at 40.0%, Return (Ending B) at 27.3%, Stay at 14.3%, and the developer easter egg The Yeti at 12.8%. Those are live Steam figures pulled on 8 September 2026 and they move. Any site that prints them as fixed round numbers is not re-checking them, and at least one competing wiki has Return badly wrong at around 34%.
The verified route to Ending C
Everything in this section is supported by the official Fandom wiki, and most of it by two or more independent sources. Where a step rests on a single source we say so.
1. The Cheese, the cockroach and the two quarters
The chain starts in the Prologue kitchen. You take The Cheese from the fridge, which lures a cockroach out. Stomping the cockroach drops Two Quarters. Those quarters are not spending money: they go into the Wall Bank, which eats them and then tells you the secret. The secret is the word cheshire.
The Fandom Items page and the Fandom Endings page describe this independently of each other and agree, which is the strongest form of confirmation a single wiki can give. Outside guides repeat the password as well. It is the one password in the entire game that survives cross-checking. See the items list for where the rest of the chain sits.
2. Summon the Toilet and type the password
You use the plunger to reach the Toilet, and type cheshire in. The Toilet, canonically the Toilet Parasite, is the same entity you hand a saw to on the A and B routes.
This is worth stating plainly because a competing site gets it wrong. endacopia.wiki says you give the saw to "Roger". That is incorrect. The official Fandom wiki ("give the toilet either saw"), a Steam Community guide ("give to the toilet monster") and endacopiagame.com all agree the saw goes to the toilet creature. RODGER is the failed copy you can talk to behind the mirror in Chapter II, and he does not collect anything. That correction applies to all three endings, not just this one.
3. Hidden content in all three regions
Ending C requires completing a stretch of hidden content in Misery Town, Timesville and The Office, and the guides consistently phrase it as pushing each region right up to its boss door with that hidden content done before you resolve the boss. Three sources agree on this: the official Fandom wiki, the Steam Community all-endings guide, and endacopiagame.com.
The three regions hang off the hub area, which the Fandom infoboxes call "the green place". It is not called "Green Hills"; that name appears only on endacopia.wiki and has no support anywhere else. Each region also holds one of Mellow's lost senses.
| Region | Theme | Region boss | Sense recovered |
|---|---|---|---|
| Misery Town | Circus and carnival, not a decaying suburb | Trapezist | Hands |
| Timesville | Small town on a six-slot clock | The Chameleon (Ozzie) | Eyes |
| The Office | Corporate floors, gambling den, fight pit | The AI | Mouth |
The "decaying suburban landscape" description of Misery Town circulates on endacopiagame.com and is simply wrong: the Fandom material is full of clowns, mimes, a whack-a-clown stall, a pierrot and a circus train. Steam's own store text confirms the regions can be tackled in any order you like, so there is no fixed sequence to the hidden content.
4. Mellow's Room, Clockey, and the Surgeon's cave
The ending resolves back where the game started. In Mellow's Room you meet Clockey again, in the state the wiki files under "Ticked Off Clockey". You then go through a hole into the Surgeon's cave, read his book, and sit down to ask him questions. He answers them, and those answers are the game's lore dump: the Surgeon built Clockey, RODGER and The Bride. Asking him is what triggers Ending C and the Stay achievement.
The internal evidence here is good for a single wiki. The Endings page describes the route, the Clockey infobox independently lists his death place as "Mellow's Room, Chapter 3 (Ending C)", and The Surgeon page carries a dedicated "Role in ending C" section. At 38,449 bytes, the Surgeon's page is the largest article on the official wiki, which tells you where the game puts its explanations.
The unresolved question: does Ending C need A and B first?
This is the single biggest open question about Endacopia, and the honest answer is that the sources contradict each other. We are not going to pick a winner.
| Source | What it actually says | Reading |
|---|---|---|
Official Fandom wiki (Endings) | Lays out the Ending C route starting from the Prologue. Never mentions Endings A or B as a prerequisite. | Silence, not denial |
| Steam Community guide 3773635669 | Ending C is "intended only if you have completed both Ending A and B" | The word is intended. That is authorial intent or advice, not a stated gate |
| endacopia.wiki | "Requires both Escape and Return unlocked first" | Stated as a hard requirement |
| showgamer.com | Does not address it | No help |
Three positions, three different strengths of claim. The gradient in the unlock rates (40.0% → 27.3% → 14.3%) is compatible with either explanation, because a difficulty ladder and a gate produce the same shape. Nobody has published a save-file test either way.
Our practical read, offered as a read and not as a fact: doing A and B first costs you nothing and matches what every source that mentions the subject at all recommends. If you want the answer settled rather than described, it needs someone to reach the Surgeon's cave on a fresh save and report back.
Two more contradictions worth knowing
Do you have to skip Clockey in the Prologue? The official Fandom wiki addresses this directly and says "Doesn't matter if you fight Clockey or not." showgamer.com says you must not fight Clocky during the Prologue. The Steam Community guide and endacopia.wiki do not raise it. This is a straight conflict between the most maintained source and a content site, with no consensus, so treat it as unsettled rather than solved.
Which saw does Ending C need? The official Fandom wiki states "it doesn't matter which saw you pick in ending c", and endacopia.wiki agrees. showgamer.com says you must give the Toilet the toy hand saw during Chapter II. Two against one, in favour of the choice being free. That is a different situation from Endings A and B, where the saw is the branch itself: the toy saw leads to Escape and the real saw leads to Return, confirmed across five sources.
| Contested point | Official Fandom | Steam guide | endacopia.wiki | showgamer |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| A and B required first | Not mentioned | "intended" | "Requires ... first" | Silent |
| Must skip Clockey in Prologue | "Doesn't matter" | Silent | Silent | "do not fight" |
| Which saw for Ending C | "doesn't matter" | Silent | "It doesn't matter" | Toy saw |
Only one password is real
cheshire is the only code in Endacopia that any trustworthy source verifies. Two things circulate that do not survive checking, and both show up high in search results.
A set of four four-digit safe codes, presented as belonging to a Study, a Pantry, an Attic and a Basement Vault, is fabricated. Three of those four rooms do not exist in Endacopia at all. The site publishing them marks them as verified, which is worse than publishing nothing. The same site invents four ending names, invents an achievement that is not among the game's sixteen, and invents a chapter structure with a grandfather clock and a boiler room. We do not cite it anywhere on this wiki, and neither should anyone else. More of this is catalogued on our myths and corrections page.
A saw box code appears on endacopia.wiki. The official Fandom wiki says only to solve the puzzle and open the attic box, with no number, so the code is effectively single-source and comes from a site with known errors. We do not repeat it.
While we are correcting things: there is no free browser version of Endacopia and no web version. Steam's own data says $16.50, Windows only, released 27 July 2026 by Andyland. Any page offering it to play free in your browser is not describing this game. And the protagonist's real name is Rodger Thompson, which is worth keeping straight from RODGER the copy on the Mellow page.
Where the documented record stops
Ending C plays out in Chapter III, and Chapter III has no walkthrough anywhere. The official Fandom wiki's Chapter III article is three bytes long: the letters "tba". Neoseeker has a Chapter 3 page that is behind a block we could not read. Every other site's Chapter III content is either lifted from the Endings page or invented.
So the confirmed shape of Ending C is what you have above: the password, the hidden content in three regions, Clockey in Mellow's Room, the cave, the book, the questions. The room-by-room path through Chapter III is not documented by any source we trust, and we are not going to reconstruct it. If you want the parts of Chapter III that are confirmed by the endings material, the walkthrough collects them.
After Ending C
Finishing all three endings unlocks the developer easter egg. You meet Andy, the creator, working at a computer, and talking to him starts a dance rhythm minigame played with the arrow keys, set to a song about a yeti who works as a nurse. It awards The Yeti, at 12.8% the rarest achievement in the game. Four sources agree on this, including two internally consistent Fandom pages. The creator behind it is Andrés Guerrero, covered on the Andyland page.
Update log
- 8 September 2026: Page created and verified. Steam achievement names, hidden flags and global unlock rates pulled the same day from the Steam global stats page. The
cheshirepassword confirmed across four sources. The A-and-B prerequisite question presented as an open three-way conflict rather than resolved. Two circulating claims corrected: the saw goes to the Toilet Parasite, not to "Roger", and the four safe codes attributed to a Study, Pantry, Attic and Basement Vault are fabricated. Chapter III noted as undocumented.
Frequently asked questions
What is the password for Ending C in Endacopia?
The password is cheshire. You get it by feeding two quarters to the Wall Bank, which then tells you the secret, and you type it in for the Toilet after summoning it with the plunger. This is confirmed by two separate pages on the official Fandom wiki and by outside guides. It is the only password in Endacopia that any reliable source verifies.
Do you need Ending A and Ending B before Ending C?
Sources disagree and we do not resolve it. The official Fandom wiki lays out the Ending C route from the Prologue onward and never lists A or B as a prerequisite. A Steam Community guide says Ending C is intended only for players who have finished both, which is advice rather than a gate, while endacopia.wiki states outright that Escape and Return must be unlocked first. The achievement unlock rates are consistent with either reading.
Which achievement does Ending C unlock?
Stay, one of the four achievements Steam keeps hidden. Steam shows no description for it, and the official Fandom wiki decodes it as Reached Ending C. As of 8 September 2026 its global unlock rate is 14.3%, the lowest of the three ending achievements.
Does it matter which saw you pick if you are going for Ending C?
The official Fandom wiki says plainly that it does not matter which saw you pick in Ending C, and endacopia.wiki agrees. One content site claims you must hand the Toilet the toy saw during Chapter II. Two sources against one, so treat the choice as free, but be aware the claim circulates.
Are there other safe codes in Endacopia besides cheshire?
None that any source verifies. A widely copied set of four four-digit codes for a Study, a Pantry, an Attic and a Basement Vault is fabricated, and three of those rooms do not exist in the game at all. A separate saw box code appears on one site and has no support on the official wiki, so we do not repeat it.
What happens after Ending C?
Finishing all three endings unlocks the developer easter egg tied to the achievement The Yeti, in which you meet the creator Andy at a computer and play a rhythm minigame set to a song about a yeti nurse, controlled with the arrow keys. Its global unlock rate is 12.8% as of 8 September 2026, the rarest achievement in the game.
