Endacopia Timesville: The Clock, 18 Fish and The Chameleon

Updated 2026-09-08 · Last verified 2026-09-08 · Steam Endacopia

Timesville is one of Endacopia's three main regions, reached from the hub area the game calls "the green place". It is where Mellow gets his eyes back, it is guarded by The Chameleon, and it runs on a six-period clock that only moves when you walk into a building. The two mechanics you can actually pin down here are that clock and the 18 fish, three of which are exclusive to each of the six periods.

Spoiler notice. This page names Timesville's boss, his real name, and the residents who do not survive him. Steam's own content descriptor for Endacopia reads: "This game contains scenes of body horror, psychological horror, distressing imagery, blood, violence, death, drugs, and jump-scares."

One correction before anything else. The hub is called "the green place", which is the wording used in the location field of the Fandom infoboxes for both Timesville and Misery Town. A competing fan wiki calls it "Green Hills". No source we can check supports that name. The hub itself carries a Ferris wheel up to Misery Town, with a stone door and train leading to The Office.

The clock: six time periods

The clock is the mechanic Timesville is built around, and it is unusually clean for a game this coy.

SlotPeriod typeHow you reach itExclusive fish
1DaytimeStarting state on arrival3
2DaytimeEnter a building once3
3DaytimeEnter a building twice3
4DuskEnter a building three times3
5DuskEnter a building four times3
6DuskEnter a building five times3

Two rules govern it, both from the official Fandom wiki's Timesville page:

  • Entering a building advances the clock by one slot, moving anticlockwise.
  • Leaving a building does not advance it. Exits are free.

The practical consequence is that indoor visits are the currency. If a puzzle or a fish needs a particular period, you reach it by counting doors, not by waiting. Note the honest limit here: the Fandom page describes six slots split three daytime and three dusk, but it does not give the slots individual names, and it does not say whether the clock wraps back round to slot 1 after slot 6. No source documents the wrap behaviour. We are not going to assert it.

There is also a wording mismatch worth flagging. The Fandom Bosses page describes a Timesville beach sequence as happening during the first night period, while the Timesville page calls the three later slots dusk. Nobody has written down which slot number "first night" refers to. It is most naturally slot 4, the first non-daytime slot, but no source states that mapping, so treat it as an inference and not a fact.

The 18 fish

Fishing is the only fully quantified collectible in the region. The arithmetic closes exactly: six periods, three period-exclusive fish each, 18 total. Progress is tracked in-game by the Fish Paper, and a Fishing License appears in the item record as a related object.

Catching all 18 unlocks I Want To Be A FishermanWhether any fish appear outside Timesville

The achievement I Want To Be A Fisherman reads, in Steam's own wording, "Caught every fish." As of 8 September 2026 the Steam global stats page puts it at 30.3%, which makes it the seventh most-earned of the game's 16 achievements. That is a high completion rate for a full collectible set, and it suggests the fish are gated by patience rather than difficulty. Full unlock rates for all 16 are on our achievements page. Achievement percentages are live data and will drift.

The Chameleon

Timesville's final boss is The Chameleon, and his real name is Ozzie. The Fandom wiki records his gravestone text as "Here lies Ozzie, in all colours". A competing fan site gives the name as "Ollie"; that has no source behind it and the official wiki's own redirects settle the canonical page name as The Chameleon, with "Chameleon" and "Ozzie" both redirecting to it because, in the editors' own deletion note, the title contains a spoiler.

He is one of three main bosses that can each be either fought or avoided, and the two routes have separate achievements.

RouteAchievementSteam descriptionUnlock rate (8 Sep 2026)Method per Fandom
FightNo Strings AttachedDefeated the Chameleon in battle.50.5%Do not say his name
AvoidCase ClosedAvoided battling the Chameleon.23.8%Use his real name, say the film was impactful, say it was ironic

That 50.5% against 23.8% split is one of the more interesting numbers on the whole achievement table. The Fandom Bosses page argues that "combat is not a focus of Endacopia whatsoever", and that a first-time player could reasonably skip nearly every boss. The unlock rates say most players do not: across all three main bosses, the fight achievements sit at 57.1%, 50.5% and 49.1% while the avoidance achievements sit at 23.5%, 23.8% and 19.4%. Players are choosing to punch. Combat itself is first person and bare-fisted, with block, dodge and punch, per Steam's own feature list. The full roster is on our bosses page.

The Chameleon is also the region's tragedy. The Fandom wiki lists a set of Timesville residents as deceased, killed by The Chameleon: Rosie, who is Debbie's mother, along with Charlie, Chloe, Thomas, T, Arthur and Pig Cop. Several of those have Fandom pages under 200 bytes. Rosie and Pig Cop in particular are near-empty. The deaths are recorded; the circumstances mostly are not.

Residents and side encounters

The turtle, Scuba diver, Unnamed Rabbit, Super-saverNamed in the resident list, little else recorded

Two optional encounters are seeded here rather than in the main path:

  • The Mug. Found in the Timesville apartments after Paisley's Yellow Party, by prising open the right rear room and interacting with a transparent mug and a green mug. The Transparent Mug itself is picked up beside the Gambling Den lift over in The Office, so this is a cross-region errand. Details on our items page.
  • Chimeramanticore. Begins in Timesville and finishes elsewhere. Use the telescope on the Timesville beach during the first night period to connect a constellation, dig up the Broken Phone with the metal detector, then take it to Misery Town and use it on the white bird on the lamppost beside the Pierrot's stall.

Timesville also supplies the Lockpick, which is used far away in The Office to open the door to the Underground Fighters. And one of the game's two documented windowed-mode puzzles is here: at least two puzzles, one being a Timesville doll house, require you to press Alt and Enter to leave fullscreen, move the mouse out of the window and bring it back in from the other side.

Names that get attached to Timesville but belong elsewhere

Search results mix these up constantly, so it is worth being blunt.

  • Clockey is not a Timesville character. He is the boss in Mellow's Room during the Prologue, and he is met again in the same room in Ending C as "Ticked Off Clockey". The variants Clocky, Clocky 2 and Ticked Off Clockey are all redirects to the single page Clockey.
  • Ticketa and Ticketo are deprecated names. The wiki redirects Ticketa to The Pierrot and Ticketo to Red Jester, and both of those characters are documented as Misery Town, not Timesville. No source places either in Timesville.
  • Misery Town is circus-themed, not a decaying suburb, whatever one competing site says. If a page describes Timesville's neighbour as suburban decay, it has not looked at the game.

While we are correcting things: Mellow's real name is Rodger Thompson, and Endacopia has no free browser version. Steam's own API lists it at $16.50, Windows only, with no web build. Any site offering "play free in your browser" is not offering you Endacopia.

Timesville and Ending C

Timesville is one of the three regions that must be prepared for the secret ending. Three sources agree that Ending C requires a piece of hidden content completed in Misery Town, Timesville and The Office, with each region advanced to its boss door before the boss is beaten. The password cheshire, produced by the Wall Bank in exchange for two quarters, is the other half of it. What the sources do not agree on is whether A and B must be finished first: the official Fandom wiki does not list it as a prerequisite at all, the Steam Community guide says Ending C is "intended" for players who have completed both, and one competing wiki states it as a hard requirement. We lay out all three positions on the Ending C page rather than picking one. Clear all three endings and you can meet the developer in person, which is covered on our Andyland page.

Where the record stops

The official Fandom wiki's Timesville page is a stub of roughly 1,186 bytes carrying a stub tag. That is smaller than the page for a single minor item. Everything specific on this page has been assembled from other pages on that wiki, from Steam's first-party data, and from a player-written Steam Community guide.

No source documents Timesville's room-by-room layout, the names of its buildings, the order its puzzles are meant to be solved in, the individual fish, how the clock behaves after slot six, or the sequence for recovering Mellow's eyes. Those are genuine blanks, not omissions on our part. Where you find them filled in confidently elsewhere, ask which source said so, because the wiki that ought to be the source says "tba" or nothing at all.

Frequently asked questions

How does the clock work in Endacopia's Timesville?

Timesville runs on six time periods, described as three daytime slots and three dusk slots. The clock only advances when Mellow enters a building, moving one slot anticlockwise each time; leaving a building does not advance it. That makes time a resource you spend by going indoors, not something that passes on its own. This rule is documented on one page of the official Fandom wiki and is not corroborated elsewhere.

How many fish are there in Endacopia and where are they?

There are 18 fish, and each of the six time periods has three fish exclusive to it. Six periods times three fish accounts for all 18. The Fish Paper item tracks which ones you have caught. Catching all of them unlocks the Steam achievement I Want To Be A Fisherman, held by 30.3% of players as of 8 September 2026. No source names the individual fish, so any list of fish names you find elsewhere is unverified.

Which sense does Mellow get back in Timesville?

His eyes. Steam's own store description says Mellow has lost all his senses, and the official Fandom wiki places one recovered sense in each of the three main regions: the hands in Misery Town, the eyes in Timesville, and the mouth in The Office. The three regions can be tackled in any order, which Steam's feature list states directly.

Should you fight The Chameleon or avoid him?

Both routes exist and each has its own achievement. Fighting him unlocks No Strings Attached, held by 50.5% of players; avoiding the fight unlocks Case Closed, held by 23.8%. The official wiki's Bosses page says the fight is triggered by not speaking his name, and the peaceful route needs you to use his real name, Ozzie, tell him the film was impactful and tell him it was ironic. A completionist run needs both across separate playthroughs.

Is Timesville needed for Ending C?

Yes. Three sources agree that Ending C requires a piece of hidden content completed in each of Misery Town, Timesville and The Office, with each region pushed as far as its boss door before that boss is beaten. What the sources do not agree on is whether Ending C also requires Endings A and B to be finished first. See our Ending C page for the three conflicting statements side by side.

Why is there so little written about Timesville?

Because the official Fandom wiki's Timesville page is a stub of roughly 1,186 bytes and carries a stub tag. Almost every concrete Timesville fact in circulation actually comes from other pages on that wiki, mainly Bosses, Achievements, Endings and The Chameleon. The region's layout, building interiors and puzzle order are simply not written down anywhere we can verify, and we will not fill that gap by guessing.
